How to burn down those internet bashers!

I’ve just had my first encounter with an internet basher. I was minding my business on my account on crunchyroll, i had photos of my fav singers and actors, and he tells me outfront that im desperate for putting their photos and how can i be inlove with all of them?

i answer back with its called fangirling and its no big deal, and i find out im apparently a shallow and pitiful person living in such a lousy life.. hmm and i always wondered what was wrong with my life *sarcasm*

The best way to end such arguments is to just back off and let them hear what they want, it doesn’t matter if they stepped on your pride, or called you shallow, just answer them politly, with respect and point out that THEY didnt. It always makes them more annoyed and in range, they might show it by them starting to swear and the problem escelating, but ignore it.

You’ll be satisfied, while they burrrn, and its a win win situation

everything comes to an end, somethings sooner than others

I’m back. Finally back, or should I say unfortunatly back. I’m missing libya already. My family just don’t get it, why im missing it i mean. I guess they don’t understand that in libya, i feel free, with all of my relatives beside me. Having fun, being able to go outside your house without the need to drop a gallon of water over ur face after five minutes in the sun. I never had the time to do everything i wanted, cuz there was so much to do. We first went to tripoli, and we went to see the roman ruines which were AWESOME! it’s just sad that the country isn’t taking care of them like they should. I got tons of pictures but my laptop is at repairs right now cuz the screen got cracked so ill update with photos later. Tripoli was kind of hot, weather wise.

 

We went to Benghazi after a week and the fun began. My cousin’s wedding was in 2 weeks, so preperations had to be made. In my country we have about 5 days weddings. First day was the men’s lunch and the official writing of the marriage where they sign and stuff (im a muslim, so not sure everyone will get it), second day was when the bride’s family came to their future apartment/house and furnished it. third day was the bride’s party where the bride’s family invited guests, and the groom’s family comes later wearing traditional clothes and bringing the gifts sent by the groom. fourth day was our day, the groom’s party, where the groom’s family invited guests. The last day was kind of like an after party. I wouldn’t know how to explain it since i’ve only been to three libyan weddings in my whole life. All in all it was tiring but fun!.

 

When the wedding was over we were free to go to the beaches! we weren’t allowed before because we would have turned black by the time of the wedding. our relatives arranged to go to a place 4 hours by car and stay for 3 nights and 4 days. the day before my aunt told us to come to their beach house to hang, my cousins and i did and i swam till i shrivelled. The 4 days in Ras Alhelal (the place we went to) was amazing, we were about 35 people, i wanted everyone to come but not all my relatives could. (I have 7 uncles and 3 aunts), and we had so much fun, sleeping at 5 in the morning waking up at 7 to go swimming, eating whatever i want cuz i was bruning the calories. the hilarious times when the lights went out and everyone was grabbing just everyone cuz they were scared someone would get lost and names being called out everywhere. It was just too awesome. After that we kind of calmed down, just hanged out here and there. Then we went to the beach with my uncle’s family and my other uncle’s kids, we spent about 6 hours in the water, oh and my cousin and i dug up a huge hole and just lied there and tanned. I came back looking totally black. there was only a couple of days left before we went back to tripoli. i slept every night upstairs at my uncle’s house. my cousin has her own AC in her room so we closed the door watched movies in the freezing cold. It was totally worth my cold. My uncle’s family living in tripoli also stayed upstairs with us so it was total chaos, cuz they had little children. to say it short, the villa never had a quite moment since we came, and thats how i liked it!. The day before going to tripoli my aunt invited us again to the beach house but this time for a sleep over. only me and my old cousins. We played cards till five in the morning. It was too good to be true. The last couple of days we spent in tripoli then last wednesday we came back here. sigh. im totally missing libya right now and my cousins and our fun times.

The fourth and last book in the twilight series is finally out! and i just bought one today! it looks hella long. 750 pages approx. Im afraid to start reading it, cuz i have a feeling im going to HATE the ending. oh stephanie meyer, oh bella please don’t disappoint us in the end.

 

I have alot of catching up to do when it comes to Asian dramas and movies, and only 9 days left before university starts. So im watching as much as i can. Doesn’t drama watching sometimes sounds like a chore? wow, since when did watching become a nesisity. oh, the Olympics started!! i was totally bummed that i wasnt able to watch alot in libya, but i saw some swimming competitions, diving, basketball, weight lifting, gymnastics. i hope i get to see it again, because i want to watch it from the beginning.

goodbye dubai, hellloooo libya

I have less than 12 hours to spend here in the UAE. In the hot, boiling weather – well im actually freezing right now because the AC is on at 10 degrees celsius, but yea you get the point – the traffic, the same routine. finally the wait is over. All the planning that i’ve been doing in the past weeks felt pointless as i was frantically packing my belongings. I seem to want to bring EVERYTHING. The books i mentioned in my older post? well yea im not bringing those, i bought some books and i had like 10 books to get, but my mom just looked at me in this weird way like – what the hell are you thinking? when will you have time to read 10 books? and the WEIGHT! – so yea, its now down to 4 books: The host by stephenie meyer (i just CANT not bring this everywhere i go), The choice by nicholas sparks (YEAY! finally found it and bought it), No strings attached by clare dowling (was hesitant on whether to buy it or not, but i was like, what the heck), and the rescue by nicholas sparks again (such a wonderful book <3).

 

as for my dramas and such, i just got whatever i could that would fit in my laptop, i mean right now im too excited to think logically, hyper hyper hyper!! aahh i can totally smell the sea right now, i feel totally nostalgic. I just miss my relatives and the beach and the fun! seriously i have waited one year and a half for this! and finally i get to go back! home sweet home!

Movie Review: Koizora

Koizora: The cell phone novel that moved millions to tears (source: Moviexclusive.com). This movie has brought tears to my eyes from the first 30 minutes.

 

My Review:

It started off as a chick flick highschool teenage love movie, but as the movie’s climax develops, issues such as rape, pregnancy, bullying, abortion, true love, betrayel, etc.. are all there. To some people it may seem like another tearjerker, but to all fans of romance, this will move you deeply, even boys. It is a story about a couple that face tragedies together with their strong love keeping them together. The soundtrack is superb, it just fits with the plot, just listening to it makes me want to cry, kind of like 1 litre of tears with Kei’s song. Every minute spent watching it is worth it. I even watched it twice in 3 days, but i can’t bring myself to watch it again, i cried too much that my eyes were twice their usual size and my head kept on hurting for 2 days! don’t be discouraged by it being a tearjerker, because this is a love story that will bring you hope that one day, you might find your ONE too. Such a beautiful love story, you will regret it if you passed it.

 

What surprised me is that the main actor was only 17 when he acted in this movie! born in april 1990, the movie was released while he was 17, while the main actress is two years older than him. nonetheless, they have amazing chemistry between them. I am infatuated by his white hair, he totally looks like an anime character! to be more specific, Cloud of Final Fantasy: Advent Children!. There is even news that there will be a remake of Koizora into a drama! the actors and actresses have already been selected. I will try to be open minded and not judge it based on the movie, though itll be hard since im not sure there will be someone better than Haruma as the main lead actor and Yui. Koizora will be the next 1 litre of tears drama!

Drama Review: On Air

i just finished watching the drama On Air:

           

at first, i didn’t like it because it started off a little weird, with one of the celebrities not accepting an award that she had to share with another actor, and how this was all over the news, in other words , celebrity gossip, booo-ring, and not even real celebrities since this is a drama, but since i just have to give a drama a chance. watching a drama up to episode 5, if i dont skip, not get bored, and find atleast one thing that is interesting ill continue it. but for this drama, you don’t need to worry about that, since you totally get hooked from the moment the scriptwriter woman appears on screen, she is hilarious! a blabber mouth, and gets excited at EVERYTHING! basically someone that cracks you up whenever you are with them. i enjoyed the humour and i liked the hottie who is the director in this drama. It is also very different from the dramas i watched, the romance is light hearted, with no love triangles and a wicked witch that is out to ruin the love between the two main leads. I loved it from beginning (once you get over the first episode) to the end (episode 21) i actually just watched the last episode, so im still totally fluttery about it. when i first started watching it, i watched 16 episodes in one day, and as you know, korean dramas are about 70 to 80 minutes per episode. (that’s like a double episode of lost or prison break!) i didn’t think it was a waste of time at all, and the story not having any tragic part in it just made it all the better for me. sigh, i love this drama.

                        

the countdown begins: 8

This past week has been crazy. All we’ve been doing is shopping, and more shopping. I think i went to every mall there is in Sharjah and Dubai to get ready to going to libya in 8 days (!!!!!). Also my aunt told us yesturday that my cousin’s wedding is 4 days, not 3 days, so my mother and I had to go today and shop some more, and i found THE perfect dress! it was so pretty! and the design was something i’ve wanted for a while, so i bought it! *though it was a bit overpriced but i begged my mom and she caved in* so now im finished. *finally!* I just have to go out with my mom to find a dress for her.

 

moving on, i narrowed down the books im bringing to libya to only 5, and trust me that is a shocker, since i have about 70 books that i love. since i only buy books that i like, even though i read them from my friends, if i liked them i’de still buy them. this is something my mom always wonders why i do :P

I just recently finished reading “shout down the moon” by Lisa Tucker. at the beginning, i didn’t want to start reading it since i thought it was too chick flicky and I haven’t read a good book in a while – not after The Host – so i just picked it up because my sister bought it and it turned out it wasn’t for her age so i was like, it is a waste of money ill just try it out. as soon as i started reading it, i couldn’t put it down, and i finished it in one day! and i have this habit of reading a book i like atleast twice in the span of a month. so i am planning on reading it again in Libya. The host, ive read it 2 times. shopaholic series, ive read them once. The Rescue i’ve read it three times. (notice something?) as long as you put a good book infront of me, i won’t mind reading it again.

 

Now i’ve got to decide which dramas to get with me. damn i hate that part. for sure im getting prison break with me, since i haven’t seen season 3 and my brother told me the ending was good (i reached episode 3 and stopped it, because something happend that i couldnt stand) Lost, im gonna watch it with my mother and sister before i travel. i havent started season 4 so i will soon. im getting with me Everybody hates chris, which is a HILARIOUS comedy 20 minute show.

 

as for asian dramas this is the list im getting – for now -:

I think the list is acceptable, since i have over 30 dramas, and over 20 movies. plus, most of these dramas and movies are on CDs, since im not going to get my hard disk (contains 160 gb worth of dramas and movies) i just have to put New Heart and Saranghae either on my laptop or on CDs, or ill just ditch one of them. actually ive decided, i’ll ditch New Heart and watch it when i come back.

 

Too many things to sort out before traveling! ive also got to sort out my photos taken in malaysia and put family photos in a folder to show my relatives, because im interested in photography, so i have too many photos (1500 to be specific) and about 200 of them are only family photos. damn, gotta do that.

 

I need to start watching a drama, and FAST! im going to have to take a risk and start one of the underrated dramas and see where that leads me, then ill review it here.

A day that isn’t going well for you, is going well for someone, somewhere

Italy lost. wow. shocker. i know. ok not really, after the position of coach was given to donadoni the team has gone down, also they’ve lost members such as totti (retired from playing national), and Cannavaro (injury) and ofcourse combined with bad coaching, i mean which team wouldn’t suck bad? even 4 times winning world cup champions, Italia. i actually didn’t feel sad for them losing, because not wanting to be biased, i don’t think italy deserves to proceed, and for spain to get disqualified, since spain played SO much better, yesturday, and overall than italy. i’ve heard than Locatoni grew a moustache and said he won’t shave it off unless he scores a goal, well i guess we just have to see how long its gonna grow before he gets a chance to cut it, i think he has a better chance of scoring on his team than on the opponent. seriously that man, yesturday we laughed at him SO hard during the game, i kind of feel sorry for him right now.

 

Finally, i finished my freakin placement tests for my university! HALLIJUAH! i mean seriously, ive been stressing over my report card, and those stupid placement tests the university makes us do, and its only a day in the whole damn month! so if, lets say, i missed my june 23rd test, i have to wait ALL the way to like end of july, what a way to spend ur summer! but finally, its overr, and also today there is no soccer game, so i feel like i have nothing to do, just catching up to do with my packing, and such. I am actually happy, wow, this is totally weird, i dont remember the last time i said it.

 

I am actually starting to have muscles, like seriously, i felt my arm today and wow, its getting hard! ive been going to the gym for like half a month now, about two hours a day, aerobics, treadmill, machines, and such, ive started to like going there, waiting for the next day to go, its totally fun! didnt expect it to be this much entertaining, using the treadmill at home, or the gym in my house is totally boring, but now im enjoying it. plus im losing some weight! :D since i need to, just like 3 kilos, hopefully ill lose them before july 5th, or atleast 2 kg, because that is the day we travel! *woohoo* totally exciteeeddddd!!!!

who needs livejournal?

i just don’t understand Etisalat. seriously, they block everything that is helpful to us, and not block the things that are R+ and should be censored. i mean why block livejournal? why block d-addicts downloads? torrent sites? and keep all those hentai sites and explecit sites that i even get embarrassed to even look at. i just think etisalat needs a totally new management crew.

 

now let’s not waste our time with Etisalat, i think they’ve wasted enough time for me. i’ve been watching Euro2008 this year, and it has been interesting. the anticipated game between italy and spain just started! im a loyal italy supporter since before, and i just hope italy pulls another surprise and wins, like they did at the beginning of the tournament, when everyone thought they had a very low chance of getting into the quarter finals. it’s just bad that pirlo and gattuso can’t play this match, on top of cannavaro not being able to play in the whole euro2008. If it wasn’t for buffon and blocking the penalty kick against Romania’s Mutu, Italy wouldnt have been able to proceed to the quarter finals. Spain’s Torres and David Villa are a huge threat against Italia, but as all the analyzers were wrong in nominating the teams that would win in the quarter final games (netherlands, Portugal, Turkey) they might also be wrong about nominating spain. Let’s just watch the game and wait for the results.
